persistence of memory was an installation of interactive paintings made for IRL URL, an exhibition of internet-centric work at Muchmore's in 2012. the paintings source images from tumblr and other social networks that use amateur pornography as currency.

two large zoopraxiscopes flanked a series of suspended thaumatropes, drawing comparison between the popularity of animated gifs and earlier generation's time wasters.

I made use of handmade paints made with fluorescent pigments designed to work well in the limited and awkward lighting of a music venue as exhibition space.
